Fruit is Grown in the Valley

It’s easy to praise God when we are enjoying the mountain top experience. But for every mountain, there must be a valley and it is in these lean and trying seasons that test our faith. It is in the valley where we will either cry out to God or cry out against God. Those who cry out against God are the ones who mistakenly believe that God is somehow angry with them and exacting His vengeance; others are confused by the misbelief that Christian living is supposed to be simple and happy. The anguish and struggles of our valley seasons are not purely the result of spiritual immaturity but it is an opportunity to go before God and lament, just as King David did. Since Jesus wept and cried out to God, then so can we.
