Which is worse in your opinion, the fool who didn’t understand and sinned or the fool who understood and sinned anyway? Charles Spurgeon wrote, “To know is not to be wise…There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool…to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom.” It doesn’t matter how often we read our Bible or go to church; if we don’t allow those disciplines to change our heart, then we are knowing fools. But, even worse, the Bible says that if we know the right thing to do, but don’t do it…that is a sin. This week, read the book of James and find one command that you didn’t know was there or that you haven’t been doing and do what it commands this week.
