What Kind of Friend Are You?

In Luke chapter 5, the Bible records a group of men who went to great lengths to get their paralyzed friend before Jesus for healing. Back then, a paralyzed person had little hope; the person was practically doomed to a life of loneliness and begging. But this man had friends, and no ordinary friends either. These guys were determined to get their friend to Jesus. They carried him on a bed through the crowd, and when that failed they hoisted him up to the roof above Jesus, knocked a hole through the roof, and lowered him down in front of Jesus. We should ask ourselves if we are that kind of a friend; would we be determined enough to overcome any obstacle to get our friends and family before the Lord?
